I always knew that people were my passion. Growing up I was social, if not a little rowdy, and always had to be at the centre of the excitement. Founding this organization during my grade 12 year was the perfect thing to pour all of my passion and energy in to. I've always been taken by surprise by the aversion that Western society has towards menstruation, and this surprise turned to anger when I saw that this stigma was causing harm to the people around me. As I transition to university I hope to continue to nurture and grow this campaign to end Period Poverty.
